Hockey Draft Day
Tomorrow is the big annual NHL draft. This is where teams get shaped and molded for the next professional ice hockey season, which starts up again in October.
Cities compete with each other to host the live draft. This year it will be held in Ottowa at Scotiabank Place, starting Friday at 6:00 pm my time. I think Ottowas is in my time zone. Haven’t been there yet but maybe next year. Wouldn’t it be great to go to a live Canadian hockey game? It’s much more intense up there, eh.
The top 18-year-old hockey players in the world are bracing for the biggest day of their lives when the teams announce their picks and their trades. There will be an open party in the downtown arena on Friday, with a locker room equipment sale and autograph sessions. If they only had the free beer . . .

We’re going to meet up at the arena’s Party Zone suite around 5:30 if you can make it. The corporate sponsors are throwing down for the party - just come on by. That’s where the free beer will be, bro.
