At the convenience I found a little pocket schedule of the Sounds baseball games this summer. I used to go to the Sounds games 4 or 5 times each summer with my dad. Mom is not that big of a fan and it was always a great time for us guys to just get away and do some guy stuff.
I see on the schedule that this weekend’s games will have fireworks after the game is over. That is always an extra incentive to go to a saturday night game. This weekend they play Albuquerque on Saturday night and it would be great fun to watch a baseball game then watch fireworks together.
It would be an all-American Fourth of July if Kelly wants to do that with me: baseball, hotdogs and fireworks!

An offer came in the mail for a quick web site. They promise it will only take a few minutes to set it up. I thought that was interesting, as a lot of people are spending huge amounts of time and money on custom designed and built web sites, and I wondered what this company had done to streamline the process and make it so cheap.
They evidently use a template that is keyed to your answers to the questions they give you in a dialogue box once you sign up. For example, they ask for your business hours, and as you type in your hours, the program pulls your answers and plugs them into a page that was designed for just that.
They’ve made it look very easy, but I wonder how good this cheap version really is for the average business needing a web site?

Stopped by my dad’s office today to pick up some papers. He was busy in a meeting that was running long, so I cooled my heels in his office. He has a nice office, with very nice furniture, an awesome leather high back chair, and two PCs. So I sat behind the desk and used one of his computers to get online and surf around while I was killing time.
The difference between sitting in his really nice chair and the cheap one that we have at home was very noticeable. In the first place, the leather feels great. But I noticed even more – like the really smooth rolling of wheels and the lumbar support for your back.
It’s time to toss that cheap chair at home and upgrade to something of quality, like my dad’s Office Chairs. The work we do on the home PC is just as important as the work done in an office outside of the home, and the furniture should be just as good.

Kelly is coming up to spend the weekend with us here in Nashville. She is driving up from Chattanooga this afternoon and I’m so excited!
I made a lot of plans for both of us since this is the Fourth of July weekend and the weather is going to be great. We are going to spend Friday afternoon on the Lake with a bunch of my buddies and their girlfriends and wives. We are meeting at one of the state parks and taking over the beach.
Friday night we can get into the Nashville Shores park for a flat price per carload after 5:00 pm, so we are all going to freshen up for an hour and then load up in a Suburban and an Expedition and hit the Shore for dinner and more water fun. At 9:00 pm, the Shores puts on a fantastic fireworks display accompanied by a live band.
During the fireworks, there might be a cool special moment for Kelly and me. We’ll have to see how the day works out. I’m really looking forward to it.

A couple of other things my dad taught me that I appreciate a lot is how to dress well. When I was old to realize that life requires more than a clean white teeshirt and a pair of Levis, he took me to a men’s store and walked me through the process of selecting a good suit, getting fitted properly and choosing all the right accessories.
That is also when I learned about men’s jewelry and what a huge impression the right watch can make on people. Especially when the moment matters, a good watch and well made, shined shoes can make or break the deal. Thanks to my dad, I realized that a top of the line watch is called a timepiece. I think most people will agree that when you want a top of the line men’s timepiece, the first name that comes to mind is Rolex.
If you are in the market for a Rolex watch, I’ve heard that the www.bestoftime.com web site is the place to find the bargains. I was looking at their site today and discovered a huge cost savings for their Fourth of July sale. I don’t know many other places where you can save as much as $1,000 right of the top of your purchase.
